Omg it looks great!!! Did u get the furniture at ikea?? If so I think we have the same great taste! If it was ikea did u get the matching stools that they had, that's what made me go with this collection!! I close on the 25th so I'm getting so axious to put every thing in!
I see u have this set up potentially for 8 do u think if I was to extend it and add 2 more it will b over crowed, I am asking for my own personal use because I close on the 25th and am going to ikea coincidently the 22nd since we r going out of town for my brothers birthday and there is an Ikea in Michigan (our nearest ikea which is 3hoursaway). I already have 6 wondering if I should grab 2 more.....your input would be greatly appreciated...Thanks
Yup! The table and chairs are IKEA (the table is the Bjursta in brown, and the chairs are Ingolf in white). We did not get the matching stools - I wanted stools I could push completely under the counter and not trip over.
We have it with one leaf in it right now - three chairs on each side, and a highchair on the end. You could easily fit two chairs on the end to seat 8, and/or there is plenty of room to add the second leaf and do four chairs on each side and two chairs on the end to seat 10. We just don't have the need for that much seating right now :)
Hi!! Thank you so much for answering, I definitely need that much seating, my husband has 6 sisters and a brother and that's not even counting the nieces nephews and my side of the family! So I will be grabbing 2 more chairs, I can't get over how beautiful your color scheme is!
Hi! - My husband and I just signed a purchase agreement for a Palermo, and I was thinking about window treatments. I want to mount blinds, but I was worried about doing an "inside" mount with the vinyl casement on the windows. Yours look great, though! How did you mount your blinds?
P.S: We started a blog - feel free to follow us! palermoryanhomes.blogspot.com
Hello - we are considering building a Palermo and would like to hear how you like your's now (after living in it for a while I assume!). When we walked through a model of it today I was surprised that it felt like the doorways upstairs were all narrower than the standard door width. The staircase also felt narrow. Have you noticed this? Opinions on how it does or doesn't affect you and your family? (we've got a 4 and 1 year old). Thanks!
We LOVE it! I haven't had any issues with narrow doorways or stairs. We had railings installed (upgrade from the half-wall) on the bottom and top of the staircase so maybe that helps? We have the room off of the family room as a playroom and I can't tell you how awesome that is! Everyone is so jealous of the fact that we can store all of the toys and clutter out of sight, but still have the kids play in the main living space. We converted the dining room to a large office (with a morning room that seats 10 - and the fact we don't do formal dining in home, haha - we didn't need a dining room), and that has worked wonderfully too! Any other questions, please ask :)
Love the chandelier! I can't wait to see more pictures!
